These terms govern your use of The Trade Post, operated by Rodeo Management LLC. By creating an account you agree to them.
1. What the service does
The Trade Post lets rodeo contestants find each other and coordinate swaps of performance slots at the same rodeo, and produces a record of the agreed swap. We coordinate and record trades only. We are not the rodeo, the association, or PROCOM. A trade is not final until it is accepted and processed by the relevant association.
We also publish The Road Atlas, a directory of services useful on the haul between rodeos — layovers, repair, vets, and feed stores. Listings are informational. We do not operate, inspect, endorse, or vouch for any business listed, and any dealings you have with one are between you and that business.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be an eligible contestant in good standing with the governing association for the event you are trading in, and you must supply your own association card number. One account per person. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password secure. Accurate information is a condition of use: a trade submitted under a wrong card number can cost someone their entry.
3. Membership and billing
Viewing a rodeo's trade board requires a paid membership, billed monthly through Stripe. The subscription is for access to the service. It is not a fee per trade, and no part of it is paid to another contestant.
Some of the service is free with an account and no membership: posting a slot you want to trade, earning rewards points for doing so, browsing The Road Atlas, and advertising on it under section 4. What membership buys is the ability to see the trades others have posted and to take one.
You can cancel at any time from the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. We do not prorate partial months. If we change the price we will say so before it applies to you.
4. Road Atlas listings and advertising
For a separate monthly fee you may submit one listing to The Road Atlas. This is a distinct product from membership. It does not include access to the trade board, and holding a membership does not include a listing.
Payment buys the listing and its review, not a guaranteed place on the map. Every submission is reviewed by us before it appears, and we may decline it. If we decline, we will tell you why and you may correct and resubmit as often as you like while your subscription is active. Editing a listing that is already published returns it to review, and it is not visible in the meantime.
We may remove or decline any listing at our discretion — including content we judge inaccurate, misleading, unsafe, offensive, unrelated to rodeo travel, or not useful to contestants. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you submit and for having the right to submit it, including any photographs. Do not submit a listing for a business you do not own or represent.
If your listing lapses because you cancel or a payment fails, it stops being shown but is not deleted; restoring your subscription restores it, subject to review.
Refunds. Advertising fees are otherwise non-refundable, but if we decline your listing and you choose not to resubmit, contact us within 30 days of that charge and we will refund it. We do not refund periods in which your listing was published.
5. We never hold your money
Rodeo Management LLC does not hold, transfer, escrow, or guarantee any payment between contestants. If two contestants agree on an amount between themselves, they settle it directly, off the platform. Payment handles shown in the app are a convenience for contacting each other and nothing more. We are not a party to that arrangement, we do not verify that it happened, and we cannot recover or refund it. Disputes about money between contestants are between those contestants.
Subscription and advertising fees are paid to Rodeo Management LLC for access to the service. They are never paid to another contestant, and no contestant receives any part of them.
6. Association rules are your responsibility
Your association's rulebook governs your conduct, not this app. Association rules prohibit trading a performance position for cash or other consideration in order to gain a favored position, and violations are treated as serious. Where the rules require it, you must certify that your trade complies before it can be submitted.
You are responsible for knowing and following the rules that apply to you. We may remove listings, cancel trades, or close accounts where we believe the rules or these terms are being broken, and we may share trade records with the association on request.
Advertising on The Road Atlas has no effect on trading. It does not influence which trades you see, when you see them, or whether a trade is accepted or processed.
7. Trade windows, limits, and cancellation
Trades can only be posted and accepted while the trade window for that rodeo is open, and the window closes at the posted deadline. There is a limit on how many locked trades you may hold per rodeo per event. The contestant who accepts a trade has a short window afterward in which to cancel it; once that window closes the trade is final on our side and moves on for processing.
8. Rewards points
Points are a loyalty feature. They have no cash value, cannot be sold, transferred, or redeemed for money, and confer no advantage in a trade itself. Higher tiers see newly posted trades earlier. Points cannot be bought, and no amount paid for advertising earns them. We can change point values, tiers, and timing at any time.
9. Notifications
If you opt in to text messages, they are governed by our Privacy Policy. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. We do not guarantee delivery or timing of any notification, and missing one does not extend a trade window or deadline.
10. Acceptable use
Do not post slots you do not hold, create more than one account, impersonate another contestant, scrape or bulk-extract the site, or interfere with its operation. Do not use the service to arrange anything your association prohibits.
11. Availability and limits on liability
The service is provided as is. We do not guarantee it will be available, error free, or that any particular trade will be found, accepted, or processed. To the fullest extent the law allows, Rodeo Management LLC is not liable for lost entries, missed performances, missed deadlines, lost winnings, amounts exchanged between contestants, or your dealings with any business listed on The Road Atlas. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
12. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account for breach of these terms or association rules. Trade records are retained as described in the Privacy Policy.
13. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected in the effective date above. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho.
